Development Policy

All material sent to Alpha Omega Webs becomes the property of Alpha Omega Webs. Alpha Omega Webs will not sell or in any other way redistribute materials sent to us that would be inconsistent with the wishes of the party sending said material. In effect, Alpha Omega Webs cannot guarantee the return of any materials sent to us, and will use it only in accordance with the written and/or implied wishes of the sending party.

Alpha Omega Webs will not work on any material if we judge that copying that material would result in copyright infringement. We will not work on any audio file, document, photograph, or other file that we suspect came from a source which the sender does not have permission from the copyright holder (or an authorized representative of the copyright holder) to copy.

The party sending material to Alpha Omega Webs is responsible to pay shipping costs to us. Alpha Omega Webs will not be held responsible for materials damaged during shipment. If material does arrive damaged, Alpha Omega Webs will contact the party sending the material to inform them of the situation immediately.

Alpha Omega Webs will ship CD's created for customers with insurance coverage for damage. All costs associated with said shipment will be reflected in the next billing cycle. Customers may opt out of insuring their package; just request to drop insurance at the time of order. In such cases, Alpha Omega Webs will not guarantee the items to be damage-free upon receipt by the customer.

Some of these services are provided for current active customers of Alpha Omega Webs at a reduced price. All others will be charged an additional fee, though still very reasonable. All non-customers are asked to mail a check with the appropriate amount made out to:

Any party, by establishing Alpha Omega Webs as their internet hosting provider, or who sends materials with a check to pay for our web development service, consents to the Terms of this Agreement. The terms of this agreement may be changed without notice. Top  ▲

Services

Scan and/or Optimize Graphics

Alpha Omega Webs can scan photos for you. Photos and other graphics files can then be optimized (compressed) for use on the web. Alpha Omega Webs has the capability of optimizing files with the following extensions: .gif, .jpg, .png. In addition, Alpha Omega Webs can make one color of .gif files transparent for use on the web. Convert Text File to .pdf File

Alpha Omega Webs can convert documents generated by word processing programs to the portable document format that is used by Adobe Acrobat Reader™. This superior format is useful and adds a professional touch to any web site.

Alpha Omega Webs can also scan documents and then convert them to a .pdf file. This is more time consuming, and a rate of $20/hr will apply.

Alpha Omega Webs will not change the formatting, grammar, or spelling of any document submitted to us for conversion. If such action is requested, we can do it at the rate of $20/hr.

Convert Analog Recording to Streaming Files

Alpha Omega Webs is able to create a digital recording from a cassette and make it available for streaming online. The advantage of streaming media is that the file begins to play while downloading. The visitor to the site doesn't have to wait for the download to finish-a definite plus for those who have a slow connection speed. On average, a 35 minute sermon is converted to a file sized at about 4MB.

Convert Analog Recording to .mp3 File

Alpha Omega Webs can create .mp3 files from a cassette. The advantage is that .mp3 files are much smaller than .cda (found on a typical CD) or .wav files. This allows for more recordings to be "burned" to a CD-R or saved on a hard drive or portable media player. Amazingly, the quality of recording does not noticeably suffer from this process, as evidenced by the boom in file sharing using the .mp3 file format.

Non-customer: $4.95 per recording conversion

Create CD from Analog Recording

Any sound recording on a cassette may be copied to a CD. The format of the file on the CD may be either the typical .cda format, which is playable on regular CD players, or the .mp3 file format, which allows for approximately fifteen 35 minute sermons on a single CD. The drawback to the .mp3 file format is the necessity of special software to play back the files. For either case, the minimum order is 10 CDs. Pricing is as below.

Cost: $3.00 per CD, minimum order of 10. Slim case included with each disk. Does not include the cost of conversion from tape recording or shipping costs. If tape recording conversion has already been done, no additional charge will be applied. Shipping costs will be reflected on the next bill.
NON-CUSTOMERS: Please add 10% to the order to cover shipping and handling. Top  ▲
