The ability to find more information about a related topic at the click of a button is what makes the internet such a great tool. But when that click leads you to a Page Not Found error, or some totally unexpected content, it can be a big frustration. Here are some things to remember about hyperlinks:

• Check your links to be sure they are working as expected--manually go to each page and check to see that when you click on your links, they take you where you they should. Often, when you update or add on to your site, you cause bad or broken links. The cheapest cure is vigilance. There are some resources available on the web to have your links checked, though they may not be free.
  
  
• Reciprocal links--find a web designer that has a site relevant to your site, and agree to link to their site if they will link to yours.
  
  
• Relevant links--don't have links just for the sake of having links. Make sure your links are relevant to your site content.
